Which AI Interview Copilots Let You Try Before You Pay? (2026)

Interview copilot free trials compared: which of eight tools give free live sessions, stealth mode and no-card sign-up before you pay.

An interview copilot free trial matters more than a trial of most software, because the only test that counts is whether the tool keeps up with a real conversation on your own computer. A demo video cannot tell you how quickly answers appear on your connection, whether it hears your interviewer through your audio setup, or what the other person sees when you share your screen.

We wrote this for job seekers who are choosing a copilot and would rather find those things out before entering a card number. It looks at eight tools and sorts them by what you can actually do for free, with particular attention to whether the free option includes a live session long enough to be a fair test and whether it includes the feature that hides the copilot during screen sharing. We make Verve AI, which is one of the eight, and everything said about the others comes from their own websites as they stood in October 2026.

What should a free trial let you test?

A useful trial lets you check three things, and the tools below differ on each of them.

The first is a live session that lasts long enough to exchange several questions and answers, since one question tells you very little about how a copilot handles follow-ups. The second is stealth mode, meaning the setting that keeps the copilot out of a shared screen, because that is the part people are most anxious about and it can only be judged on your own machine. The third is whether you can start without a card, so that trying the tool does not turn into a subscription you have to remember to cancel.

Which copilots give you free live sessions?

Five of the eight let you run a live copilot session without paying. They are listed here from the longest free session to the shortest.

Sensei AI

Sensei AI has a free plan with copilot sessions of 15 minutes, and it says you can start as many as you need, with each one ending automatically at the 15-minute mark. Its coding copilot and industry knowledge add-ons are shown as part of the paid plan. Sensei AI describes the product as undetectable but does not say whether that differs between the free and paid plans, and its site does not mention whether a card is needed. The paid plan is $89 a month, and Sensei AI states that it does not offer refunds.

Verve AI

Verve AI has a free plan with three live copilot sessions of 15 minutes each and five mock interviews, and it does not ask for a credit card. Stealth Mode in the desktop app is included on the free plan, so you can run a screen-share test before you pay anything. If you want more after that, Standard is $44.99 a month for five 60-minute sessions and Pro is $84.99 a month for unlimited sessions.

Parakeet AI

Parakeet AI offers 10 free sessions of up to 10 minutes each, plus one free mock interview, with no credit card required. Its desktop app has a private mode that hides the window from screen sharing, although the site does not state whether that applies to the free sessions. Its unlimited plan is $149.90 a month, and it also sells credits that do not expire, starting at $38 for one credit.

We look at the two products side by side in Verve AI vs Parakeet AI.

LockedIn AI

LockedIn AI has a free plan with sessions that end after 5 minutes, up to 60 free minutes a day, and a one-minute pause between sessions, with no credit card required. Stealth Mode is not part of the free plan or of the General paid plan, and it begins with the Professional plan or the credit plans. With the discount code shown on its pricing page, General is $54.99 a month, credits are $69.99 a month and Professional is $119.99 a month, and the list prices without the code are double those.

Interviews Chat

Interviews Chat gives new users 30 free credits with no credit card required, where one credit is one minute of the copilot or one suggestion. Its site does not claim a stealth or screen-share-hidden feature on any plan. Paid plans start at $19 a month for 1,000 credits, and the unlimited plan is $29 a month.

Which copilots have a free tier that stops short of a real test?

Two tools have something free, but not the part you would want to test before an interview.

Cluely

Cluely has a free Starter plan with a limited number of AI responses per day. Its help center says the free plan does not include undetectability, which is available only on the Pro + Undetectability plan at $149.99 a month. Cluely describes itself as a meeting assistant for sales calls and project work, so it is a different kind of product from a dedicated interview copilot.

Our Verve AI vs Cluely comparison explains how a meeting assistant differs from an interview copilot.

Interview Coder

Interview Coder lets you download and explore the app for free with no credit card, but its FAQ says a subscription is required to use the AI features. The monthly plan is $299, and its refund policy says all sales are final.

Which copilot has no free trial?

Final Round AI

Final Round AI states on its homepage that there is no free trial, and its help center says live and practice sessions require an active subscription. The free plan lets you prepare your resume and job details. The plan billed month to month is $150, and the company offers a 72-hour money-back guarantee that stops applying once you have run two sessions longer than 30 minutes each. We compare the two products in more detail in Verve AI vs Final Round AI.

How should you use a free trial?

However many free minutes a tool gives you, the way you spend them decides how much you learn, and three sessions used deliberately will tell you more than an hour of clicking around.

Use the first session to check the basics on the computer you will interview on: that the copilot hears both you and the other speaker, and how long an answer takes to appear after a question ends. Use the second to rehearse with someone asking questions drawn from the actual job description, including a follow-up or two, so that you see how the answers hold up in a conversation. Use the third to share your screen in the meeting app your interviewer will use and look at the shared view from a second device, which our guide to testing interview copilot stealth mode walks through step by step.

That last step is only possible when the free plan includes stealth mode, which is the main reason we include it in ours. If you would like to try it that way, you can start on Verve AI's free plan without entering a card, and our AI interview copilot overview explains how the live copilot works.
