Verve AI vs Interviews Chat: Stealth, Follow-Up Questions, Reliability and Price Compared (2026)

Verve AI vs Interviews Chat: a lower price versus Stealth Mode and follow-up context. Screen sharing, reliability, refunds and plans compared.

Verve AI vs Interviews Chat is a comparison people usually arrive at through price, because Interviews Chat is one of the least expensive interview copilots available. Price is a reasonable place to start, but the questions that decide how an interview goes are different ones: whether the interviewer could see the tool, whether it keeps up when the conversation moves, and how much you can find out about its behavior before the day.

We wrote this for job seekers who are weighing the two and want those questions answered side by side. It explains how each product is built, what is publicly known about Interviews Chat, and how each one handles the common concerns about interview copilots, with price near the end. We make Verve AI, so weigh our view accordingly; what we say about Interviews Chat comes from its own website, terms and Chrome extension listings as they stood in October 2026.

How are Verve AI and Interviews Chat built?

Both products give real-time answer suggestions during an interview, with a live transcript, and both use your resume and the job description. Both also offer practice interviews and tools such as resume and cover letter help.

Interviews Chat is mainly a web app, with two optional Chrome extensions, one for video interviews and one for online assessments, and its site mentions a desktop app for desktop meeting software without publishing details of it. A feature it emphasizes is choice of AI model, with suggestions from two models shown side by side.

Verve AI has a desktop app for Mac and Windows, a browser version and an iPhone app. The desktop app is the center of the product, because it is the version that stays out of a shared screen and listens to your computer's audio directly.

What do people say about Interviews Chat?

There is very little independent feedback to draw on. Interviews Chat has no Trustpilot profile, its Chrome extensions have no ratings, and its listings on the main software review sites show no reviews, so the testimonials on its own home page are close to the only opinions available.

That absence is not a complaint, and we did not find a pattern of disputes about billing or refunds either. It does mean that the usual way of checking a tool, which is to read what went wrong for other people, is not available here, and that what the company documents about its own product matters more than usual.

Will the interviewer see it when you share your screen?

This is the concern candidates raise most, and the two products approach it very differently.

Interviews Chat does not claim to be hidden during screen sharing. Its FAQ says the interviewer cannot detect the copilot because it does not join the meeting or notify anyone, which is a statement about the call and not about your screen. For interviews where screen sharing is required, its own suggestion is to run the web version on a separate device.

The Verve AI desktop app runs outside the screen-share layer at the operating-system level, so the interviewer does not see it and no second device is needed. Our documentation states where that is guaranteed, which is window and tab sharing on any platform and full-screen sharing in the Zoom and Microsoft Teams desktop apps, and the app shows a "Stealth Mode: Active" indicator before you join. Stealth Mode is included on every plan, the free one among them, and our guide to testing interview copilot stealth mode shows how to confirm it yourself.

Will it catch the question and answer in time?

Interviews Chat advertises response times of under a second, with a note that speed varies with the model and the network. Its site does not say whether suggestions appear automatically when a question is asked or when you request one, and on its Starter plan each suggestion uses a credit.

Verve AI detects questions automatically and lets you choose how it responds. Auto answers every line, Manual waits for you, and Smart Listening holds a question that is still being asked and skips small talk. Its transcription was upgraded this year for technical terms and accents, a shortcut makes an answer shorter or longer while you speak, and there are three ways to get help in a session: automatic answers from the audio, a built-in chatbot for typed questions, and a hotkey that captures part of your screen.

Will it keep up with follow-up questions?

The second and third questions on a topic are where interviews are won, because they test whether you understood your own first answer. A suggestion that ignores what has already been said will not fit.

This is where Verve AI is strongest, because it keeps the context of the whole conversation and shares that context across the audio, the chatbot and the screen capture, so a follow-up is answered with the earlier questions, your own answers and anything you captured in view. When you capture a coding problem and receive a solution, the interviewer's spoken questions about complexity or edge cases are answered about that same code.

Interviews Chat's site mentions follow-up questions as part of its practice interviews and does not describe how its live copilot handles them. Its screen capture works on a browser tab through the Chrome extension.

Will the answers sound like you?

Interviews Chat tailors answers to your resume and the job description and offers several formats, including a brief answer, a bulleted list and a STAR answer. Its distinguishing feature is showing responses from two AI models at once, which gives you a choice and also gives you more to read during a live conversation.

Verve AI builds answers from your resume, the job description, documents you upload and your own stories in STAR format, which it uses in full when a behavioral question calls for one. You choose one model for the session, and Pro adds our reasoning models and knowledge banks for 20 interview domains, so that a single answer arrives in the language of your field.

Will it hold up for the whole interview?

Interviews Chat publishes little about how its product behaves under pressure. There is no help center or documentation site, no published system requirements and no detail on the desktop app, and its terms provide the service as is.

Verve AI documents each feature publicly and has worked on the common failure cases. Transcription reconnects by itself after a brief network drop and tells you when it has, and an answer you are reading stays in place when a new one arrives. The free plan includes live sessions with Stealth Mode, so a full rehearsal costs nothing.

What if something goes wrong?

Interviews Chat's terms say fees are non-refundable, with exceptions for a subscription that was not delivered or a duplicate purchase. Support is by email, and you can cancel from your account page at any time.

Verve AI's paid plans include email support and an in-app chat that goes directly to our support team. Our refund policy covers a technical problem on our side that stopped you using the product, or a subscription that was never used.

How do the prices compare?

Prices are from Interviews Chat's website and our pricing page.

Interviews Chat is the less expensive product of the two, and its Starter plan is $19 a month for 1,000 credits, where a credit is a minute of copilot time or one suggestion. Its Booster plan is $29 a month for unlimited use, and its Pro plan is $69 a quarter. Verve AI Standard is $44.99 a month for five 60-minute sessions, and Verve AI Pro is $84.99 a month, or $34.99 a month billed annually, for unlimited sessions with the desktop app, Stealth Mode, the coding copilot and our reasoning models.

On the free side, Interviews Chat gives 30 credits without a card, which is up to 30 minutes of copilot time. Verve AI gives three live sessions of 15 minutes, five mock interviews and Stealth Mode, also without a card.

Verve AI vs Interviews Chat: which one should you choose?

The Verve AI vs Interviews Chat choice depends on what your interviews involve. If they are phone screens or video calls where you will not share your screen, and the lowest monthly price matters most, Interviews Chat's unlimited plan costs about a third of Verve AI Pro.

If you may be asked to share your screen, if you have coding rounds or long chains of follow-up questions, or if you want to know from documentation how the tool behaves before you depend on it, Verve AI is built for those conditions.
