Is Parakeet AI Legit? What Reviews Say and How It Compares with Verve AI (2026)

Is Parakeet AI legit? Who makes it, what its reviews say and how to read them, its refund terms, and how it compares with Verve AI.

Anyone asking "is Parakeet AI legit" is usually doing a sensible thing, which is checking who is behind a tool before trusting it in an interview. The reviews for this one are overwhelmingly positive, and that raises its own question, because a wall of five-star ratings can be as hard to interpret as a run of complaints.

We wrote this for job seekers who are considering Parakeet AI and want a fuller picture than a star rating gives. It covers who makes it, what its customers say and how to read the score, what the less happy reviews describe, what the company's own terms say about refunds and permitted use, and how it compares with Verve AI on the points that matter in a live interview. We make Verve AI, so weigh our view accordingly; the facts about Parakeet AI come from its own website and its public Trustpilot page in October 2026.

Is Parakeet AI legit?

Parakeet AI is a legitimate product from a registered company. Its terms name ParakeetAI d.o.o., based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and its hiring page names its two founders. It has a working desktop app for Mac and Windows and a browser version, published terms and a privacy policy, and a free tier that lets you use it before paying.

People who sign up do get a real interview copilot, and most of the people who review it say it helped them. So the question worth spending time on is how well it will work for your interview and what to expect if it does not.

What do Parakeet AI reviews say?

On Trustpilot, Parakeet AI has a score of 4.7 out of 5 from just over 500 reviews, with 82% of them five-star and 3% one-star. The positive reviews are mostly short, and the themes that come up most are how quickly answers appear, how easy the tool is to use, and how much it helps when a candidate is nervous or stuck.

Two details help in reading that score. All of the reviews were posted within the past twelve months, and many of them within recent weeks, so the profile is new. Parakeet AI's privacy policy also describes a programme for "reviewing us for free credits," in which customers who publish a review on another site can claim credits for it. The policy does not name the sites involved, and Trustpilot labels the reviews as unprompted, so we cannot say how much the two are connected. It is simply worth knowing that the company rewards reviews when you weigh a very high score.

What do the critical reviews describe?

The one-to-three-star reviews are a small share of the total, and they are more specific than the positive ones. The most common complaint is answers that were inaccurate, generic or sounded obviously machine-written. After that come slow responses, sessions where the copilot did not pick up the interviewer's question and had to be prompted by hand, and a few reports of crashes partway through a call. A smaller number concern billing, including being charged after cancelling and not hearing back about a refund.

Parakeet AI has replied to about 5% of its negative reviews on Trustpilot. That is a low rate, and it means that most people who posted a complaint there did not get a public answer.

What do Parakeet AI's own terms say?

Three points in Parakeet AI's published terms are useful to know before you buy.

Its refund policy covers purchases that are entirely unused. The window is seven days, a purchase stops being eligible as soon as anything from it has been used, partial refunds for remaining credits are not offered, and the limit is one refund per person.

Its hiding feature has stated conditions. The desktop app's Private setting keeps the window out of screen sharing and is on by default, but the FAQ says Zoom needs a particular capture setting turned on, and that the browser version is a normal tab that cannot hide itself.

Its terms also describe the product as built for conversations where AI assistance is permitted, and they prohibit using it in interviews or assessments where outside help is not allowed. The company says it honors requests from employers to be blocklisted.

How does Parakeet AI compare with Verve AI?

Once the question of "is Parakeet AI legit" is settled, the more useful comparison is a practical one. Both are real products that do the same core job, and both let you start without a card, so the practical differences are narrower than the marketing on either side suggests.

On price, Parakeet AI is the better fit for a single interview, because it sells credits that never expire at $38 for two 30-minute sessions. For regular interviewing, Verve AI costs less: a month of unlimited sessions on Verve AI Pro is $84.99 against $149.90, and a year is $419.88 against $599.90. Our Verve AI vs Parakeet AI comparison goes through the plans in detail.

On testing before you pay, Parakeet AI gives 10 free sessions of up to 10 minutes and Verve AI gives three of 15 minutes, with Stealth Mode included on the free plan so that you can check screen sharing as part of the trial. On support, Verve AI's paid plans include email support and an in-app chat that goes directly to our support team.

FAQ

Is Parakeet AI a scam?

Parakeet AI is not a scam. It is made by a registered company in Slovenia, it has a working product with a free tier, and most of its reviewers rate it highly. The critical reviews describe problems with answer quality, speed and billing, which are ordinary product complaints.

Who owns Parakeet AI?

Parakeet AI is operated by ParakeetAI d.o.o., a company registered in Ljubljana, Slovenia, according to its terms and conditions.

Can Parakeet AI be detected?

Parakeet AI's desktop app has a Private setting that hides its window from screen sharing, and the company says the app does not join your call as a participant. Its FAQ notes that Zoom requires a specific setting for this to work and that the browser version cannot hide itself, so the desktop app is the one to use if you will be sharing your screen.

Does Parakeet AI give refunds?

Parakeet AI offers a 7-day refund for purchases that have not been used at all, limited to one refund per person. Once any paid use has taken place, the purchase is no longer eligible, and it does not offer partial refunds for unused credits.
